I Didn't Plan for This

When our kids were little, we prayed for them to grow up and be successful, to make a difference in this world.  But I had no idea then, that although our prayers have been answered, that it would mean our son, wife, and almost 3-year old granddaughter, Winslow Grace, would live 20 hours away!

As someone still fairly new to this NeeNee role (my grandma name), I find myself doing a lot of praying about how to support, connect with, and love on, my family so far away.  And it seems like the Lord has started bringing other grandmas my way who are in the same situation.

So I've felt a leading to start this blog.  A place for us to connect, to support one another, to pray for one another and our families, and hopefully share ideas on how to best "Grandlove Across the Miles."

This is a faith-based blog, so God and prayers will be a heavy focus.  If you want to join us, I only ask that we agree to keep in confidence anything shared as far as prayer requests/needs, etc, unless someone specifically asks us to share with others.  And that we are committed to praying for one another, and helping remind one another that even though God has given us these precious kids and grandkids here on earth, they really are His before ours, and will be His long after we are gone.

God Bless, and welcome to Grandloving--Across the Miles!
